Reader’s Question:

I’m thinking of maybe getting a new compact or a subcompact car. Since gas prices are on the rise, this time, I want to try one from a Japanese manufacturer. Any thoughts regarding the Honda Civic?

Allen

Dallas, TX

Well, Allen, if you’re looking to buy from a Japanese manufacturer, I suppose you can’t go wrong with a Honda Civic since it has been in production longer than most other Japanese cars. Also, since one cannot help but be concerned about rising gas prices, the Civic might just prove to be a right choice for you since apart from fuel efficiency, reliability and low running costs, it has become known also for its performance and environmental awareness.

The latest Honda Civic comes either as a coupe or a sedan. Five main trims are base DX, LX, EX, EX-L and Si. All of these get a variety of security devices such as antilock brakes and airbags. Excluding the Si, all run on 140-hp 1.8-liter engine. The Si, on the other hand, runs on 2-liter, 4-cylinder engine which makes 197 horsepower.

Now, moving on to the interior—If you want a sportier look and feel to your Civic, go for the coupe instead of the sedan. If it matters little to you, well, both feature a 2-tier dashboard, with the speedometer atop and the tachometer underneath. Both have quick steering and great handling, making it pleasurable to drive.

Sure, a 1.8-liter engine won’t make it to the finish line first, but at least you’ll get where you want to go comfortably. And it’s a good thing you won’t go racing, too, as the Civic suffers from slow acceleration.

Reader’s Question:

I want to get a Honda SUV in Houston TX, what do you recommend?

Julienne

Dallas, TX

Personally, I do not want untried stuff, which is why as I looked around Houston Texas Honda dealerships, I was attracted to the Dallas Texas 2008 Honda Pilot. It positively met my standards-a very popular name in the average sized SUV market, it had a dependable status for being a reliable and superiority van. I knew a small number of people who had it, and so I was decisive to get a possibility by not taking any likelihood and sense safety in my option of the Houston Texas 2008 Honda Pilot.

Well, appearing back from only two months in the future, I can promise you that my selection was correct. I will not call for to be visiting any more Houston Texas Honda dealerships before long, in view of the fact that my roomy, relaxing, and safe Honda 2008 Pilot is keeping me extremely content. I went on a camping excursion the previous week, and I took seven friends, two tents, an ice box, sleeping bag, and a lot more-and we were not overcrowded. I really adore this car.

Reader’s Question:

How is the new Houston Honda Accord? Is it worth buying?

Kendra

Houston, TX

You really obtain a sense for the form and class of the brand new 2008 Houston Honda Accord in the television advertisements, which captures one more pace up the hierarchy of upgrading which its model has been persistently hiking seeing as it first approached out years ago. The stuff that formulates the Houston Honda Accord only one of its kinds is not that it is fashionable or dependable, but that it is equally at the same time and until now does not compromise any feature.

Still for the average sized sedan or coupe that it is, the Accord still has an authority afforded typically to better vehicles, and handle at the same time to figure out its energy in a means which will set aside you cash on gasoline and carry on you running for a an extensive time. Comfy and roomy, the stuff that I observed about this year’s Houston Honda Accord is that it has become even more so, plus that there are also a little more tank engine preferences. What’s more the four or six cylinder performs excellently, but I chose the six.

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Houston TX

Reader’s Question:

I just got my first bonus paycheck and I am looking forward to buy myself the 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid here in Houston Texas. What can you say about its engine and transmission?

George

Houston, TX

The 2007 Honda civic Hybrid will only cost you about $22,000 excluding any of the special add-on features. If you’re going to buy a hybrid with features such as the Satellite-Linked Navigation System and fog lights and stuff like that, you’re looking at a $30,000 vehicle. Let’s set aside the price, let me take you into this vehicle and show you what it’s all about.

The first feature on our list is Multipoint fuel injection. Multipoint fuel injection is the system that injects the fuel into each cylinder against the carburetor or throttle body injections which injects fuel at one point in the intake system.

It also has the , Drive-by-Wire Throttle System which enhance engine efficiency while slowing vehicle emissions. The way this is done is it replaces the old throttle control system with an electronic system that is more accurate, needs no oil or service, and does not get affected by outside forces such as hot or cold weather.Enough to withstand the weather of Houston Texas though.

Next spot is the front-wheel drive. This feature literally means the front, rather than that rear wheels move the car. These has definitely got has to do with control and handling.

One more feature of the engine is the Direct Ignition System with Immobilizer . In theory, the advantage of this system rather than traditional ignition systems is that parts don’t wear out and would not cause you problems in the future when you try to start your car.

Another on the list we have is the unit-body construction. This is a system is fuel efficient because it tries to lower the car’s body weight.

This vehicle also comes with, the Mac Pherson strut front suspension which is not better than double wishbone suspension but it’s still better than most. One problem with this is that the wheel actually bends in which effects the sharpness of the turn. Well, at least you get to save a few dollars here because of this feature.

Finally, this car comes with a spare tire like many other cars do just to add that extra feature on the list.

2008 Honda Accord Coupe Houston TX

Reader’s Question:

Since I was already relocated here in Houston Texas, I have decided to purchase the 2008 Honda Accord. What are the exciting features of this sleek coupe?

Dan

Houston, TX

Honda’s new Accord comes to market with new styling that takes things to a higher level. Honda’s previous generation of coupe was a great selling sports car which knew when to keep it conservative. I was impressed with its creative construction, a crucial take no prisoners mission. Furthermore, in addition to an impressive sedan, the new Accord coupe had to take a couple extra measures to win me over. And I tell you, it did not disappointed me.

I was fortunate to review an EX model by driving it around the suburbs of Houston, Texas. If I would describe the exterior, it is one hell of a sleek, at the top, and trend setting, of course all in a good way. I just can’t help but align it with the Infiniti G37 and BMW 3 series coupe . For saving up to $10k, one could have a stunningly beautiful coupe in the Accord, and perform fabulously with some of the best. But don’t get me wrong, the Infiniti and BMW are created and designed at the top of their class. Furthermore, I dont feel bad about taking the Accord coupe over the higher priced cars. The body and windshield are more raked, the front end is stealthier than it’s sedan sibling. Generally, it was more of a sports car rather than the regular passenger car, which the last generation clearly was.

The V6 powertrain is phenomenal and respond quickly to all of my pedal intervention. An important thing is , the car doesn’t feel as heavy like the sedan, and this made driving ability and stability out on the roadways more interactive. I wasn’t worried about accelerating further on the turns, the car handles it like a dream. Interior quality has no significant issues. Everything was within reach and the seating is comfortable if not, it was more supportive, it all fits into the sports coupe niche. The only negative issue is getting into the back seat. Although seating comfort is really not main attraction for any coupe, it sure fits a bit tighter than I liked it was.

Honestly, I know that the new Accord coupe would be exceed the best of expectations, but I came out of the testing with more of a delightment. It was really a great alternative to some of the comparably high priced cars in the market today, and will win over many buyers with it’s head turning facade and Honda’s tru-blue engineering and quality. I recommended this 2008 Honda Accord coupe to many aspiring sedan aficionados.

Steps Before Buying Honda Car in Houston TX

Reader’s Question:

My family just moved to Houston Texas and I am planning to buy a Honda car this summer, what advice can you give me in purchasing a car here?

Greg

Houston, TX

There are 4 simple yet effective steps that you need to consider if you want to buy a new Honda car. These things are really important that you have to buy your new Honda car with peace in mind and at least save a lot of money.

Step 1:
Check publications at a library or bookstore or on the Internet that talks about new car features and prices. These may give information on the dealer’s costs for specific models and options. Once you have chosen the type of vehicle that will suit you, spend time to check the background of the car that will disclose advantages and disadvantages. There are several Internet sites can help you compare features and prices on new motor vehicles.

Step 2:
Find out the Honda car dealer’s real cost on the car (it’s normally less than invoice) and the prices that smart shoppers are paying for that car, Research any other items you might want (loans, extended warranties, car alarms, etc.).The real key to your deal: you should find out what the dealer paid for the car so you can bargain the price you’ll pay for. You have to find this information out and you have to be sure it’s up-to-date and correct!

Step 3:
Check for the best time to buy. Normally, new car models arrive during September and October, however new models are starting to be released year-round. When it comes to the right day of the week, Saturdays would be perfect because Honda car dealerships in Houston are trying to create some momentum going into the weekend. Also, during moth ends, car dealers will want to increase sales figures for monthly reports, so good deals may be found then as well.

Step 4:
Lastly but not the least, everything is negotiable. The price, trade value, interest rate, and even the extended warranty – most dealerships will work with you on everything that you want to work on.

One thing you have to keep in mind, you have power to choose. You can turn down a deal at any time before signing the papers and drive away.

Houston TX 2008 Honda Element

Reader’s Question:

What can you say about the interiors of 2008 Honda Element?

Jeff

Houston, TX

Customizing the seating position is with a knob to adjust height and lever to set seatback angle. Nonetheless, I was able to find a comfortable position for the duration of the test drive. Even on longer drives, the seating position remained comfortable. One notable positive feature for taller drivers is the cavernous roofline providing ample headroom for the giants out there. If I had one complaint, it would be access to the built-in seatbelts: once seated, they are hard to grab because they’re located lower than my shoulders (and I’m not tall!).

The HVAC system works quickly to cool down this large green house vehicle, and controls are very clearly labelled with white on black text or icons. The lack of a B-pillar in combination with the suicide rear door makes ingress and egress from the rear seats an easy task (even for my 300+ lb friend) as well as making it easy to load cargo. Quite perfect for any weather condition and rusty roads in Houston Texas.

The dash gauges are large and clearly labelled with white text against a black background. Perimeters of the gauges are highlighted with a thin red border which gives a bit of a race-look. A large speedometer dominates the centre with smaller tachometer and temp/fuel gauges flanking the left and right, respectively. Engine information is limited to trip meters, odometer, and oil life.
