Reader’s Question:

We are aware the gas price is really rising, what makes the Honda Oddysey fuel economical?

Justin

Houston, TX

Honda’s 3.5-liter V6 engine is smooth, dynamic, clean and has fuel efficiency. The iVTEC V6 (intelligent Variable Timing and Electronic Control)comes in the EX-L and Touring models gets an EPA-rated 17/25 mpg City/Highway. That’s better than the fuel economy of the usual VTEC V6 that comes on the LX and EX 16/23 mpg. One advantage the iVTEC engine has to offer is its VCM system, which deactivates 2 or 3 of the six cylinders whenever the Odyssey is cruising at a steady speed. We were never able to distinguish when the engine was running on three cylinders because there is no obvious stammer or change in engine note, although a green dash light illuminates to tell you the system is working.

The base version of the engine produces 244 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque, while the iVTEC version makes 241 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. We were not able to tell any difference between the two engines. Generally, the Honda VTEC V6 is a great engine, and the iVTEC version is just better. You can check out your local Honda dealers in Houston to see this powerful engine.

Reader’s Question:

How far can I press on the packet on the Houston Texas cheap second hand cars as concerns of age and gas mileage?

Jason

Houston, TX

You have given me an interesting question, Jason. You know, I once have a possession of a car that was older than I was when I was twenty years old. Unless you are pulling together a vintage car, it is not a good idea to push the envelope very far when it comes to age. Even if the car may perhaps seem to be good, unless you have the cash, the time, and the ability to repair it up, there are very few okays, and probably zero cars that are over twelve years old and can still function as it should be with the proper maintenance. The most excellent range for Houston Texas cheap second hand cars that are also quality cars is between three and five years old.

With regards to mileage, you ought to also keep the mileage as low as possible, however a good number of Houston Texas cheap second hand cars are going to have at least over twenty thousand. That is a good find. You must just set your elevated point at about 150,000 miles and you should not go beyond there, for the reason that you will have troubles operating it.

Given that a car dealership can change what the odometer says to read like the car does not have very many miles. If you get the motor vehicle history report, though, you can find the exact mileage.

Reader’s Question:

Where can I find a Houston Texas second hand car dealership?

Rain

Houston, TX

I am Glad you asked Raine. I have actually purchased one of my cars from a Houston Texas second hand car dealership right near there. It is in fact just a little further down 610, on Shepherd Houston Texas. The only thing you have to do is go up 610, then take the exit North Durham/Shepherd, then take a right on Durham, follow it down until you reached the 16th street, then take a left, and another left once you get to Shepherd, and it is not very far down. The shop is called USA Auto Brokers.

The sales people there are very nice, and I have to say that I maybe spent the least amount of time there than I have ever had to spend at a Houston Texas second hand car dealership. They were able to help me and at a very fast time.

To add to that, the people there will tow your car for free if it needs to be fixed. What I like the most was that they were very accepting about payments. I have made late payments after a week, after two weeks, or even after a month and the people there were okay with it. They did not ask me to pay for any late charges.
